Team History

The FC Denver Women's team is a Women's open team that will be playing in indoor and outdoor leagues and local and regional tournaments. The FC Denver Women's program was created in the Spring 2009 to increase top-level playing opportunities for female players.

The team played in local indoor and outdoor leagues through 2009 and the Spring of 2010 before before taking an operational hiatus. This downtime for the program gave the club the ability to formulate what it wanted it's women's program to be and how to implement it, so when it was reborn in the summer of 2011, it was more organized and defined than ever before. The team competed in several local women's soccer tournaments in the summer of 2011 and is registered to play in the 1st annual Dicks Sporting Goods Park Women's League in the Fall of 2011.
