This is the FC Denver Green Army ‘Meet the Player’ series; where we introduce who we are, where we come from, and why we play.
Sara Schmidt is FC Denver.
Sara is an on-the-field leader for our FC Denver Women’s team. Some leaders organize and motivate verbally at half-time. Others manage team affairs in the leadup to game-day. Sara displays her leadership by the example she sets on the field of play. Sara builds confidence and commitment within the team by the tone she sets in the game. Her commitment and competitiveness have earned her the trust and respect of her teammates, which is especially noticeable during the most competitive moments of the game. She possesses both the skill to dictate a game and the spirit to make plays happen, which makes her an integral part of the success of our Women’s team. We are a better team and a better club for Sara’s involvement.

Nic Wilson is FC Denver.
From time to time, a player shows up at tryouts which will go on to have a truly remarkable impact on the progression of our club, and Nic Wilson is one of those players. Nic joined the club relatively recently (last year) and has already tremendous impact on the the success and trajectory of our Masters program. He is a team guy, meaning that in addition to his great on the field play, he is a guy that brings a team together through character, humor, and competitiveness. His teammates respect and enjoy playing with him and it shows. Masters is a better team and we are a better club for having Nic Wilson in our ranks.
