Longtime FC Denver player Neil Gallagher has been named as FC Denver Club Executive Director. In this role, he will assume operational decision-making functions (with support and guidance from program and teams leads) for all FC Denver teams. With this announcement, Club Founder Eric Ridgeway Fulton will support Neil through the leadership transition and remain intimately linked with the club as Chairman of the Board of Directors.

“I am grateful for Neil’s energy and commitment to take FC Denver forward into the next stage of it’s development.” Ridgeway Fulton commented. “Neil is the perfect person, with his expansive soccer experience and thoughtful temperament, to take the reigns of the club. This is an important step in the long-term sustainability of the Football Club of Denver.”

Gallagher joined FC Denver as a Men’s program player in 2016 when he arrived in Denver. Prior to that, he played college soccer at West Chester University of Pennsylvania. After graduating, he played for the West Chester United Amateur soccer team who won the National Amateur Championship during his time at the club. Gallagher’s other soccer roles have included working professionally as the Technical Director of 360 Soccer, as a coach of Downingtown East High School, and as coach of several teams through a local club, Vincent United.

“I recognize the importance of building strong ties to the community through sport.” Gallagher stated. “I am a firm believer in the value that FC Denver brings to the adult soccer community and I am eager to see growth through an increased focus on the relationships that members of this club have created both socially and professionally. I have had the privilege of forging lifelong relationships through this game and want to continue to build on that type of culture here at FC Denver"
