Premier Division:

Club El Azul vs Premier
Result:
Drew 1-1
Recap: Premier drew to a tough El Azul side to start the season. The match was a bit of a sluggish early season affair as the play was slower and touches not quite a tight after the long off-season and snowy pre-season. Mixing in the new guys always takes some time as well so it was good to get an official regulation match under our belt.
Scorers: Bernhardt, A
Mon of the Match: Kit Weaver
Next Up: Home Opener at Regency Athletic Complex Sunday (03/24) with a 4:15pm kickoff vs Harpos FC. Match/Ticket Info: https://goo.gl/8zBLXq

Harpos FC vs United
Result:
Lost 1-0
Recap: United played an incredibly hard fought match against one of Colorado’s top teams. More than eight new players got their first appearance in the United side this weekend. The squad looks stronger than ever this year and we are ecstatic to see how their season goes.
Mon of the Match: Brian Roddy
Next Up: Home Opener at Regency Athletic Complex Sunday (03/24) with a 6:15pm kickoff vs AC Legends.

Elite Division:

Lions Inter FC vs Masters
Result: Won 5-2
Recap: Masters played a newly created Lions Inter FC team this weekend. We started off on the front foot, scoring three goals within the first half. The second half was sloppier, conceding a goal and a penalty was not ideal, but we put away two more chances to secure three points. A great way to start the Elite division for the Masters side.
Scorers: Noone (2), Moore, Little, Lovelace
Man of the Match: Irishman Stephen Noone on his perfectly scripted first Masters match on St Patrick’s Day
Next Up: 3/24 vs Azteca FC 5280 at Broomfield Commons at time TBA

Athletic Club Sloans Lake vs U19
Result:
Drew 2-2
Recap: A huge test for our new program as they played their first competitive match in the Colorado Premier League. Going down to in the thirty minutes, we had work to do. A well worked move from Kenge to Babiak cut the deficit to one goal. Pushing on in the second half, Boyle assisted Kenge for the equalizer. We can learn from this match to take us into our next match.
Scorers: Babiak, Kenge
Co-Man of the Match: Blake Bennett for an unbelievable hustle play towards the end of the match that absolutely saved the result for us. And Benji Gutierrez for a top class defensive display.
Next Up: 3/24 vs Union Jerez 2 at Broomfield Commons at 5pm
